GreaseGrid

SMS policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This page explains how GreaseGrid Concierge uses SMS: how we collect consent, how to opt out, how often we text, and the authorities governing the program. It consolidates and replaces our prior SMS Terms and SMS Privacy pages.

Consent

Opt-in is collected at intake. When you submit a service request, the intake form discloses that GreaseGrid will text you about your request; submitting the form is your opt-in for transactional SMS tied to that service and your account.

We do not send outbound SMS before consent, with a narrow exception: transactional contact that is permitted under carrier and regulatory rules — for example, responding to an inbound message you sent us, or a single pre-opt-in contact tied to a prospect record whose phone number you submitted. We cap that pre-opt-in contact at one cold SMS per number. The frequency cap itself ships with Task 2.7.

Message types are service-coordination only: scheduling, confirmation, 72-hour / 24-hour / 2-hour reminders, arrival windows, vendor coordination, proof-of-work requests, completion notifications, dispute updates, and Compliance Coordination payment status. No recurring marketing SMS.

We retain SMS consent records and message logs as long as needed to provide service and meet compliance obligations. Opt-out records are retained indefinitely so we honor your preference. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

STOP / START / HELP

  • Opt out. Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any GreaseGrid SMS. We opt you out immediately and send one confirmation reply. No further SMS from GreaseGrid Concierge until you opt back in.
  • Opt back in. Reply START, UNSTOP, or RESUBSCRIBE to resume messages.
  • Help. Reply HELP for a help reply with support contact information.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Frequency cap

Within a job lifecycle you may receive approximately 1 to 6 transactional messages (typically: appointment confirmation, the three reminders, an arrival window, and a close-out). Outside an active job we do not send recurring SMS. Our pre-opt-in contact is capped at one cold SMS per number; enforcement of this cap ships with Task 2.7.

Cross-channel opt-out propagation

If you opt out via voice, email, or postal mail, we propagate that opt-out to SMS within 24 hours — automatically, via our Do Not Contact trigger. (That automation ships with Task 2.7.) You can also reach the same result immediately by replying STOP to any SMS.

Authority

  • TCPA — 47 USC §227 et seq. (federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act).
  • California Business & Professions Code §17538.41 (unsolicited commercial text message restrictions).
  • Our Postmark (email) and Twilio (SMS) carrier configurations, which enforce STOP / HELP replies at the messaging layer in addition to our application-level logic.
